Cannes Cinefondation, created to inspire and support the next generation of international filmmakers, consists of residency in Paris for young directors, a project market called Atelier, as well as a program of shorts from student filmmakers during the festival. Cannes Cinefondation’s General Manager Georges Goldenstern shall discuss the programs at Cannes Cinefondation, its relevance to Southeast Asian filmmakers, and some of the projects selected from our region.

How is it to produce such filmmakers, and how is it to transition to the world of festivals? Lee shall also discuss the various platforms at Hong Kong International Film Festival, from their competition sections as well as Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum.

Guillaume Mainguet, Head of Produire au Sud, shall discuss with Sophie Bourdon, Head of Locarno Open Doors, about the program’s mission, how they choose projects and filmmakers, and the differences between each of their programs.
