2019 Awards and Jury

  SEAFIC AWARD   The SEAFIC Award, sponsored by the non-profit Purin Foundation, awards one SEAFIC project a cash prize of US$15,000, as determined by a three-person international jury after reading the five filmmakers’ latest scripts and hearing their final pitches in person.  The jury members are:   Georges Goldenstern , General Manager of Cannes Cinefondation and Cannes Atelier.   Albert Lee , Executive Director of Hong Kong International Film Festival and producer of directors such as Jiang Wen.   Sophie Bourdon , Head of Locarno Open Doors.

  OPEN SEA FUND AWARD   The Open SEA Fund Award, jointly sponsored by VS Service and White Light Post, gives one SEAFIC project rental credit towards equipment rental from  VS Service  worth 10,000 USD and post-production services provided by  White Light Post  worth 15,000 USD.

  SEAFIC HAF Award   This prize, determined by Manager of Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) Matthew Poon, chooses one of the five projects to be selected and attend the HAF project market the following March. The winning project shall be announced by  HAF  early next year.
