2018 Awards and Jury

  SEAFIC AWARD   The SEAFIC Award, sponsored by the non-profit Purin Foundation, awards one SEAFIC project a cash prize of US$15,000, as determined by a three-person international jury after reading the five filmmakers’ latest scripts and hearing their final pitches in person.  The jury members are:   Meinolf Zurhorst , Head of Film Department ZDF/ARTE in Germany and co-producer of Lars Von Trier’s ANTICHRIST and UNCLE BOONMEE.   Christine Vachon , producer of Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning films CAROL, BOYS DON'T CRY, and FAR FROM HEAVEN.   Jacob Wong , director of the Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF).

  OPEN SEA FUND AWARD   The Open SEA Fund Award, jointly sponsored by VS Service and White Light Post, gives one SEAFIC project rental credit towards equipment rental from  VS Service  worth 10,000 USD and post-production services provided by  White Light Post  worth 15,000 USD.

  SEAFIC-TFL AWARD   This prize, determined by the Artistic Director of TorinoFilmLab Matthieu Darras, chooses one producer from a SEAFIC project to attend this year’s TorinoFilmLab Meeting Event (November 22-24 2018). This award is a result of the close collaboration between SEAFIC and  TorinoFilmLab .

This prize, determined by the Artistic Director of TorinoFilmLab Matthieu Darras, chooses one producer from a SEAFIC project to attend this year’s TorinoFilmLab Meeting Event (November 22-24 2018). This award is a result of the close collaboration between SEAFIC and TorinoFilmLab.
